1. Insertion
The feeding tube is first inserted into the patient through the nose
2. Attachment
Our buzzer attachment is attached to the distal end of the feeding tube while it is still inserted
3. Sound
A constant sound is emitted from the buzzer attachment into the tube and down through the proximal end
4. Collection
An external acoustic sensor array is placed on the patient's upper body to collect the sound data
5. Verification
This data is then transferred and processed with our algorithm to provide accurate and fast verification of the tube’s location to nurses and clinicians
